Calling all new and returning track and field athletes! Preseason conditioning will resume when we return from winter break on Tuesday. All athletes are welcome.
We meet Monday through Thursday at 4pm at the DHS track.
In order to participate, athletes must be "cleared" through DHS Athletics. Please give your signed confirmation email to one of the coaches at practice.
All athletes and coaches will participate in weekly Covid testing. I suggest that you do this on your own time when it works with your schedule. Athletes who have not been tested by Thursday will do so before practice. If this is your plan, please arrive early for practice so that your testing does not cut into your training time.
Please wear a mask as you arrive at practice. We will wear masks during our announcements and whenever we gather together.
Our official high school season begins in February and runs through the end of May.
Signup information is coming soon.
For now, athletes should make sure they are cleared through DHS Athletics: Click Here. Don't put this off!
Preseason Conditioning:
In order to minimize injury risk and perform as well as we can, athletes should prepare their bodies for the upcoming season.
For those not participating in winter DHS sports, we will offer preseason conditioning.
Conditioning will begin Monday, 11/29 and will end at the start of our regular season.
We will meet at the DHS Stadium, Monday through Thursday at 4pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will use the weight room following our workout.
Athletes must be cleared through DHS Athletics in order to participate in these conditioning sessions.
